What is this application?
The app is designed to do one thing: discourage bad jokes. If someone says something that's unfunny, you can play various sounds that let them know that. The application includes all original sounds, plus ones requested by users.

It's the only known antidote to my Rimshot app that rewards good jokes.
Why does the application ask for the location?
It's the ads within the application that asks. In order to serve location-aware ads, its needs to know where you are. The point is that if you are in France, there is no point advertising a Las Vegas weekend getaway. Don't worry, it's all private. Why ads? I am attempting to see whether it is possible to make a living writing mobile applications.
How can I make the sounds louder?
iPhone and iTouch do not have the greatest speaker, so I did the best I could with my sparse knowledge of audio engineering. If I made the sounds louder, the speaker would crackle.
